BROCKTON, Mass. — Massachusetts State Police arrested two men in Brockton on Friday evening for trafficking fentanyl and crack cocaine.
Ayoub Boubit, 23, of Arlington, and Antonio Martins, 24, of Brockton, were pulled over on West Chestnut Street around 6:30 p.m. last night for having illegal window tinting.
When the cops approached the men, they saw them shifting around in the car, and they feared for their safety.
After getting the men out of the 2011 Nissan Altima, the troopers found approximately 14 grams of fentanyl and 2 grams of crack cocaine inside the car. They also found more than $1,700 in cash on Boubit, the driver, and more than $6,900 on Martins in the passenger seat.
Both were arrested on trafficking in fentanyl and conspiracy to violate the drug laws. They were charged with possession with intent to distribute a Class B drug.
Boubit was also charged with trespassing with a motor vehicle and was cited for illegal window tint and failure to signal.
