HYANNIS, Mass. — A 23-year-old man was stabbed to death on Hyannis Village Green just 11 days before his birthday, according to the Cape and Islands District Attorney's Office.
Brendan Flynn was found stabbed at the Village Green by police around 10:30 p.m. Sunday night, the DA's office said.
Flynn was rushed to Cape Cod Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police said a short investigation led them to Nicholas Galanto, 32, who was found at a home nearby. Police said Galanto left the scene on a bike after stabbing Flynn.
Galanto has been charged with murder and was held without bail following his arraignment Monday.
