17-year-old charged in overnight Roxbury stabbing

ROXBURY, Mass. — Boston Police have arrested a 17-year-old male in connection with an overnight stabbing in Roxbury.

The teenager is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court on charges of assault with intent to murder, and assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon.

Police responded to a call at 1:24 a.m. for a stabbing victim in the area of 55 Malcolm X Boulevard in Roxbury, near Madison Park High School. When officers arrived they found an adult male with non-life threatening stab wounds and the male said he knew the assailant.

The man was taken to a local hospital.

Officers searched the area and found the suspect matching the description in the area of Ruggles Street. They noticed what looked like blood on his shirt, and he was taken into custody.
