• 16-year-old boy shot & killed in Brockton

    BROCKTON, Mass. - Massachusetts State Police are Brockton Police are investigating a shooting that killed a 16-year-old boy. 

    Brockton Police received a ShotSpotter notification around 12:45 a.m. of one shot fired in the area of Intervale Street. Officers responded to the area to investigate, but didn’t find any evidence. 

    Half-hour later, Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital notified Brockton Police a person dropped off at the emergency room with a gunshot wound had died. 

    The Plymouth County District Attorney's office identified the victim as a 16-year-old boy, but didn't release his name.
