Man seriously injured in Lynn drive-by shooting

LYNN, Mass. — A man is recovering after a shooting in Lynn.

Lynn police say a 20-year-old was shot on Fayette Street early Saturday morning. Two people called 911 after hearing him scream for help.

“I heard three loud booms and I screamed out my window. I could hear somebody screaming ‘Call 911,’ said a neighbor who did not want to be identified.

Police are calling this a drive-by shooting. The man could only tell the neighbors he did not know who shot him.

"He was shot like four times and there was bullets everywhere and we waited with him until the ambulance came.”

"He wanted to live this kid, he screamed out at 3 in the morning he was just lying on the floor by himself in the rain,” said the neighbor.

The victim has not been identified. Police say he is at Mass. General with serious injuries.
