Man seriously injured after early morning rollover crash on I-93 in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, Mass. — A 34-year-old Waltham man has life-threatening injuries after being ejected from a car he was driving when it rolled over on I-93 North in the early morning Sunday, according to a release from Mass. State Police.

That man was driving a 2003 Toyota Camry Solara when the car rolled over on the exit ramp at Exit 41 in Wilmington. The ramp connected I-93 North with Route 125 in the town.

The crash occurred around 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning. The victim was transported to Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington. There have been no updates on his condition apart from State Police’s announcement that he sustained serious, life-threatening injuries.

Police say the victim was the sole occupant of the car when it crashed. The ramp was closed to traffic for nearly two and a half hours and reopened to traffic just before 5 a.m.

State Police are investigating the crash along with MassDOT and the Wilmington Fire Department.
