43-year-old Dorchester man identified as victim of Millet St. shooting

BOSTON — A man died after being shot multiple times outside a home on Millet Street in Dorchester Tuesday night, Boston Police said.

Police were called around 8:30 p.m. for a shooting in front of 95 Milllet St., where 43-year-old Carl Brown, of Dorchester, was found with life-threatening injuries. He was transported to the hospital where he later died, police said.

Wednesday morning, Boston Police Sgt. John Boyle said homicide detectives arrested 28-year-old Shakeem McNeill, of Brockton, around 3 a.m. in that city, on murder charges. Information on McNeill's alleged connection to the fatal shooting has not been released.

Boston Police had said Tuesday night that they did not believe the shooting was random.

McNeill was ordered held without bail. He is due back in court on June 18.
