AUBURN, Mass. — State Police are investigating after a man was killed in a single-car rollover early Tuesday morning.
Officers responded to the crash at around 12:55 a.m. in Auburn.
Investigating 1 car fatal rollover crash which occurred @ 12:55 a.m. this morning on the ramp from Rte 12 to Rte 290 E/B in #Auburn. Male oper (sole occupant) trans to UMass where pronounced dead. Further details will be released later today.

Carlos Mendoza, 28, of Worcester, was the male operator and sole occupant of a 2003 Nissan Pathfinder traveling on the ramp from I-90 eastbound to Route 290 eastbound when he suddenly lost control of the car, causing it to rollover and crash.
Mendoza was ejected from the car and rushed to UMass Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. He was pronounced dead at the hospital shortly after.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
