• Woman hit, killed by Commuter Rail train in Leominster

    LEOMINSTER, Mass. - A woman was killed after being hit by an inbound train on the Fitchburg Line on Monday morning, The Worcetser County DA's office said.

    According to transit officials, officers received a call at around 11:10 a.m. for reports of a person struck in Leominster.

    At the scene, emergency crews found the victim, a 20-year-old woman, who had been hit by a train while trespassing the right of way.

    The victim was pronounced dead on scene.

    Transit Police continue to investigate this incident but highlight that no foul play is suspected.

    No further details have been released.
