Man hit by SUV at Weymouth gas station has died

WEYMOUTH, Mass. — The man hit by a car while working at a Weymouth gas station has died just over a week after the incident, according to Weymouth police.

Majid Hamade had been in the ICU for days.

His wife and daughter prayed he would survive until his son got home from deployment in Africa.

"My heart is broken. I don't know what I’m going to do," Juanita Hamade, the victim's wife, told Boston 25 News last week. "I don't know. I just want to survive. I just want him to survive."

Majid Hamade had been injured on the job before; just a few months ago he was attacked by two robbers.

The crash happened last Monday night.

On Wednesday night, Majid Hamade took a turn for the worse, leaving his family to rely on prayer that his son, who's in the Army, makes it home in time to see his father.

So far no charges have been filed. A GoFundMe has been set up with a goal of raising money for Hamade and his family.
