LAWRENCE, Mass. - Police have made an arrest in the murder of a man whose body was found by a jogger in Lawrence on Wednesday.
Twenty-two-year-old Niko Bianco of Amesbury was arrested on Thursday in Manchester, New Hampshire. He is charged with the murder of 48-year-old Ellis J. Wright of Lynn.
A man jogging in the area of 75 Manchester Street around 5:50 am found the body and a gun next to it in a vacant lot adjacent to Manchester Street Park.
The investigation led police several streets over as blood was scattered throughout the neighborhood.
Bianco will be arraigned in Manchester on a fugitive from justice charge before returning to Lawrence District Court for arraignment on the murder charge. The date and time of the arraignment are unknown at this time.
The Essex County District Attorney's Office is still investigating.
