Man arrested in connection with weekend stabbing in Boston

BOSTON — Boston Police say they've arrested a suspect in connection with a weekend stabbing in downtown Boston.

Police say they responded to reports of a stabbing around 1:40 a.m. Sunday near 69 Bromfield St. and found a male victim with serious stab wounds. He was transported to a local hospital and expected to survive.

Police say an investigation led to the arrest of Joseph Porter, 47, of Boston. Porter is expected to be charged with assault with intent to murder in Boston Municipal Court.
