Man arrested after pulling gun out in Manchester Police Department

MANCHESTER, N.H. — A man walked into the Manchester Police Department to report a stolen gun but then pointed it at the clerk and himself, according to New Hampshire officials.

Khalid Dibi, 30, walked into the police station with a bag, police said. He told the clerk he wanted to report a stolen gun before allegedly pulling it out and pointing it in her direction and then at his own throat.

Police officers immediately came into the lobby with guns drawn. Dibi left the gun on the counter and moved away from it, but did not comply with officers' commands to get on his knees, police said.

According to an arrest report, an officer shot Dibi with a taser before he was arrested.

Police say Dibi stole the gun from its owner and apparently fired it in his car. He has been charged with criminal threatening, reckless conduct, receiving stolen property and preventative detention.
