• Man accused of taking inappropriate photos of child at gym shower in Wellesley

    WELLESLEY, Mass. - A 60-year-old man is accused of taking inappropriate photographs of a minor child while using a shower at the Boston Sports Club in Wellesley.

    Barry Williams of Wellesley was held on $2,500 bail following his arraignment at Dedham District Court on Monday, police said.

    He was arrested Monday and charged with one count of secretly recording a child under the age of 18 in the nude or partially nude, which is a felony.

    On July 9, Wellesley Police received a report indicating that an unknown man may have taken inappropriate photographs of a minor child while using a shower at the Boston Sports Club on Great Plain Avenue in Wellesley.

    An investigation later identified Williams as the suspect. 

    Police executed a search warrant at 196 Washington St. in Wellesley at 9 a.m. Monday. 

    Detectives from the Metropolitan Law Enforcement Council (MetroLEC) Computer Crime Unit and NORPAC assisted in serving the search warrant.

    "The investigation is active and ongoing at this time," police said in a statement.
