2 people injured after fiery rollover crash on the Mass Pike

WESTBORO, Mass. — A serious crash on the Mass Pike injured two people Friday night.

The Westborough Fire Department says they responded to a report of a four-car crash that caused a fiery rollover in the westbound lane of the Pike near the 107-mile marker around 8:30 p.m.

A 2003 Subaru Impreza involved in the crash was driven by a 30-year-old North Oxford man with a 33-year-old North Oxford woman in the passenger seat. The woman suffered serious injuries, but was conscious and alert when she was transported to an area hospital.

The westbound lane was closed for nearly 30 minutes, with one lane just reopening, according to highway officials.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
