Woman who died after being pulled from water in Gloucester identified

GLOUCESTER, Mass. — Officials identified the woman who was pulled from Gloucester waters on Sunday.

Cassandra Baker, 41, of Beverly, was found around 12:51 p.m. Sunday. When Gloucester Police and Fire arrived at Rafes Chasm in Gloucester, they found the woman floating face down in the water unresponsive.

They pulled her out and transported her to Addison Gilbert Hospital where she was pronounced dead. Foul play is not suspected.

Gloucester Police are investigating the incident along with the Essex County District Attorney’s Office.
