Shots fired in South Bay shopping center

BOSTON — Boston police are investigating a shooting that took place outside a busy Target where the bullets actually shattered the glass on the front doors.

Police say they responded to the South Bay shopping plaza in Dorchester around 9:15 Wednesday night for reports of shots being fired. The parking area in front of the Target was blocked off with crime scene tape. One bullet hole was found in the bottom corner of the front glass door, and crime scene investigators were putting down other evidence markers throughout the parking lot.

While this was going on, shoppers were coming in and out of the store, walking around the tape. Boston police say no one was injured, but so far no word on any arrests.

This shooting comes just two days after another shooting that happened less than two miles away. It happened in the middle of the afternoon where a postal truck was hit with bullets.
