Sharon police searching for driver who hit teen bicyclist and took off

SHARON, Mass. — Sharon Police are searching for the driver of a late model luxury car that struck a 13-year-old bicycle rider Wednesday morning.

The young victim was sent to a hospital and is expected to be OK.

The crash happened shortly before 9 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Morse Street and Massapaug Avenue.

Sharon Police said the force of the crash threw the 13-year-old over his handlebars onto the roof of the car.

The driver of the car did not stop to check on the victim, but instead drove away.

Sharon Police say they are looking for a late model white BMW or Lexus with possible damage to its hood and/or its front left panel.

It’s possible the car’s owner is trying to get the car fixed.

If you have any information, call Sharon Police at: 781-784-1588.
