WORCESTER, Mass. — The Worcester Police Department is investigating an early morning double shooting.
First responders were called to Huntington Avenue around 12:55 a.m on Monday morning.

Police found two people suffering from gunshot wounds.
According to a press release, a 25-year-old man shot his 27-year-old girlfriend then turned the gun on himself.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene and the woman was transported to the hospital where she remains in critical condition.
Another man who lives in the triple-decker told Boston 25 News the woman was able to call 911 after she was shot.
Police have not released the names of those involved, nor have they commented on the circumstances leading up to the shooting.
