Police identify man killed in Mattapan shooting

BOSTON — Boston Police on Wednesday identified a man who was shot and killed in Mattapan one week ago.

Diamante Nicholson, 25, of Mattapan was killed in the Oct. 6 shooting, police said.

Police responded to a ShotSpotter activation in the area of Blue Hill Avenue and Walk Hill Street just before 11 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6 where they found Nicholson suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was taken to the hospital where he later died.

Boston Police are investigating. Anyone with information should call police.
