PLYMOUTH, Mass. — Long Beach in Plymouth has been closed for three hours on Sunday evening following a potential shark sighting, the town’s harbormaster announced via Twitter.
The sighting came just after 6 p.m. on Sunday, with the beach expected to remain closed through 9:15 p.m.
The Plymouth Harbormaster later announced that their crew was investigating the area and found a porpoise nearby that may have been mistaken for a shark, triggering the warning.
