Wareham Police Association cites pandemic as reason for awarding scholarships to all 16 applicants

WAREHAM, Mass. — The Wareham Police Association is awarding all 16 high school applicants a scholarship this year.

President Karl Baptiste said the decision was made as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. The association felt bad for the students who had their senior year cut short and understood many parents were laid off from work.
