LAWRENCE, Mass. — Essex County District Attorney’s Office is investigating a deadly crash in Lawrence involving a motorcycle.
Lawrence police responded Monday evening to the intersection of South Broadway and Dracut Street for a serious crash.
The operator of the motorcycle was transported to Lawrence General Hospital where he died of his injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle involved remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, authorities say.
When Boston 25 News crews arrived on the scene they can see an SUV with extensive damage on the driver’s front and rear sides from where the motorcycle appeared to crash.

Motorists are urged to avoid the area as the investigation is ongoing.
The incident is being investigated by the Lawrence Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police Accident Reconstruction Unit, as well as the Essex County District Attorney’s Office.
