NORRIDGEWOCK, ME.E — The incident occurred Friday night, February 7, when the Somerset County Sheriff’s Department responded to a home on Walnut Drive in Norridgewock.
When Deputies arrived, they found a deceased man and another man with several head injuries.
Police within the area were told to go on alert for 38-year-old Kendall Purnell of Norridgewock. He was seen driving the homeowner’s vehicle.
On Saturday, around 1 A.M. Waterville police spotted Purnell at an Irving gas station and was arrested for murder.
The deceased male was taken to Augusta for an autopsy, while the injured man was transported to a hospital in Bangor, where he is currently in critical condition.
