MSP: Missing Salem father and son found in Woburn

SALEM, Mass. — Authorities announced the father and son who had been missing from Salem were found safely in Woburn.

Earlier in the day police had been asking for help finding a man they say didn’t return with his son from a pre-arranged visit Tuesday evening.

Anthony Lonano Sr., 40, and Anthony Lonano Jr., 11, were being sought by police but were found safely in the area of Main St at Kirby St. in Woburn at around 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Lonano Sr. is described as a white male, about 6-feet, 2-inches tall, weighing about 170 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Lonano Jr. is described as 4-feet, 10 inches tall and weighing about 77 pounds, with short brown hair and brown eyes.

Police say they were likely in a green 2020 Toyota Camry with Massachusetts plate 3LFN51.

Police say Lonano Sr. has shared custody of the child but did not return him to his home as he was supposed to do at 7 PM yesterday.

Police say Lonano Sr. has connections to North Andover and Clinton.

It is still unclear why Lonano Sr. did not return his son following the visit.
