Logan Airport hosts Christmas reunions

Sometimes the best gifts don’t come from under the tree. They arrive off airplanes wrapped in bear hugs.

One woman in a blue coat watching in the lobby of Logan Airport landed from Seattle. She’s waiting for her own special present to get here.

“My husband and I are meeting our daughter who is flying from Denver and she arrived on time and so she’s hopefully going to come through that door soon.”

And get there she did with a warm embrace from mom waiting for her.

“We’re going to have Christmas dinner,” she said. “My sister is doing all the work so I am happy with that.”

With the winter weather canceling thousands of flights across the country, people at Logan Airport are thankful the grinch left them alone.

“Very easy flying. we flew out of Chicago O’Hare no delays right on time,” said Sarah Tufte. “Get to spend time with my older sisters and we are going to open presents and have turkey soup.”
