TEWKSBURY, Mass. — Police in Tewksbury say a man broke into a home, startled the homeowners inside and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Authorities say the incident happened on July 29 at around 1:50 p.m. at a home on Apache Way in the town. Police responded to a 911 call from the homeowner reporting someone had just broken into his house.
According to the homeowner, he had been sleeping in his bedroom when he was suddenly woken up by a strange man. The suspect was described as a tall man who had been wearing a pink shirt and a mask of unknown color.
When the homeowner asked the man who he was, the suspect replied, “Sorry, cleaning company” and quickly left the house. The homeowner later discovered some money had been taken.
Tewksbury Police combed through the area, but were not able to find the suspect.
