UPDATE: Arrest made in the death of a 75-year-old man near popular Manchester walking trail

MANCHESTER, N.H. — New Hampshire officials have announced an arrest in the stabbing death of a 75-year-old man in Manchester, Friday.

Manchester Police responded to a 911 call stating that an adult man suffered stab wounds along a walking trail near Nutt Pond. The call came in to police shortly after 10:30 a.m. according to the N.H. Attorney General’s office.

Once on scene, the Manchester Police discovered the 75-year-old victim. Officials performed emergency medical treatment, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the AG’s office.

As a result of the investigation, officials arrested Raymond Moore on a murder charge in connection with the death of the man. Moore is originally from Forest, Mississippi, but currently has no know current address, according to officials.

Moore is expected in court on Tuesday, September 6, 2022.

Officials are currently withholding the name of the victim, pending notification being made to the family. N.H. Chief Medical Examiner has scheduled an autopsy for the victim for Saturday, September 2, 2022.

Officials believe everyone involved in the incident have been identified, and that there is no threat to the public, according to the N.H. AG.
