Giving Tuesday: Red Kettle Campaign aims to help those who need it most this holiday season

BOSTON — The Salvation Army helps more than 25 million Americans overcome poverty, addiction, and economic hardships through a range of social services each year.

By providing food for the hungry, emergency relief for disaster survivors, rehabilitation for those suffering from drug and alcohol abuse, and clothing and shelter for people in need, The Salvation Army is doing the most good at 7,600 centers of operation around the country.

Since the pandemic, lines have stretched down city blocks at many of The Salvation Army Corps Community Center’s food pantries.

In Chelsea, The Salvation Army has gone from serving 70 families a day to 800 through their food pantry.

Millions of Americans are still experiencing the ongoing impacts of the pandemic as they struggle to recover and stay in their homes, so The Salvation Army remains on the front lines of need.

As the nation’s largest private provider of social services, The Salvation Army hasn’t stopped working to provide help and hope — no matter the cost. The Salvation Army serves everyone. With love. With hope. And without discrimination.

Boston 25 and the Beasley Media Group are proud to partner with The Salvation Army of Massachusetts for Giving Tuesday and the Red Kettle Holiday campaign to help those who need it most.
