Former NFL player to perform as a rapper at Worcester nightclub

WORCESTER, Mass. — The former NFL wide receiver, Antonio Brown is making his return to Massachusetts on Thursday and it won’t be on the football field.

Brown will take the stage as a rapper at the Worcester nightclub Whiskey on Water. The concert is set to begin at 8:30 p.m. with three DJs including DJ Juice, Dj S3NS3S and DJ Trent. The concert will end at 2 a.m., according to the event page.

Tickets, which are on sale now, are selling for the last call of $60 only. Previous “tiers” of $35 to $40 and $20 and $25 have sold out.

Brown last played in the NFL with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2022. His contract was terminated on Jan. 6, just four days after he was involved in an incident that saw him storm off the field before halftime in a game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New York Jets — throwing parts of his uniform into the stands as he walked off.

Brown spent much of his career with the Pittsburg Steelers, before a brief stint with the Patriots in 2019.

Brown has a number of hit songs on Spotify, including “Whole Lotta Money,” and “Pit Not A Palace” which have over 1 million listens. His most recent release, a full-length album called “Paradigm,” was released in 2022 and features many seasoned rappers.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates as more information becomes available.
