First comes Christmas, then comes Christmas returns

PEABODY, Mass.--The Christmas gifts are all unwrapped now, it’s time for some of them to go back.

“Just some shoes that my mother bought me. The sense of style is a little off these days. There is no laces,” says shopper, Connor who made an after Christmas return.

As some purchases return to store shelves, others are flying off them with deals too good to pass up.

“She walked out with a $250 plate set for 60 bucks. Not real. It’s like Black Friday with no crowds,” says shopper, Cody Brookens.

Northshore Mall manager Mark Whiting says most shoppers come the day after Christmas looking to put their presents to good use.

“Today is a day kind of interesting where people come in with their gift cards first and foremost,” says Whiting.

“Just wanted to get stuff after I got Christmas money. I got sweatpants, lip gloss, and candles, says shopper Ariel Minervini.
