Boston Bruins to observe moment of silence honoring Nashville School shooting victims

BOSTON — Members of the Boston Bruins and Nashville Predators will hold a moment of silence before Tuesday night’s game honoring the victims of a school shooting in Tennessee.

Three 9-year-old students were killed Monday at the Covenant School in Nashville, as well as the head of the grade school, a custodian, and a substitute teacher.

“The Bruins and myself (send) our deepest sympathies to the families and friends affected by the unfortunate shooting,” Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery said during a pre-game news conference.

Players from both teams will wear helmet decals referencing the Covenant School and the Bruins Foundation will be donating $10,000 to the Predators’ Foundation.

The teams are scheduled to play at Boston’s TD Garden, starting at 7 p.m.
