Police investigating apparent murder-suicide in Gardner

WORCESTER, Mass. — Officials are investigating an apparent murder-suicide that happened Saturday afternoon at an apartment in Gardner, according to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office.

Gardner Police responded to a 911 call around 4:30 p.m. Saturday from 206 Central Street.

According to a release by the Worcester County DA, a man and woman were found in the hallway outside a third-floor apartment where the woman lived. Both died at the scene, the release said.

The victims have been identified as 47-year-old Migdalia Perez and 49-year-old Jose Munez Badillo.

Perez lives in the apartment building where she died while Badillo lived on Prospect Street.

Witnesses reported hearing an argument between the two before the shooting, the release said.

Gardner Police and State Police are investigating.
