32-year-old man drowns at Lake Quinsigamond, police say

A 32-year-old man is confirmed to have drowned at Lake Quinsigamond on Wednesday, officials say.

Worcester firefighters were dispatched to the lake shortly after 3:30 p.m. for a reported drowning.

At the scene, a member of the dive team marked the spot where the man reportedly went down. A diver soon found the victim and pulled them from the lake, within 10 minutes of rescue crews arriving.

The victim was transported to UMass University campus. There are no updates on his condition.
