3 Things to do in the Boston area this weekend

Mass — Looking for things to do in the Boston area this weekend, we have a few suggestions.

LEGO Maritime Festival:

Calling all builders! Head over to the USS Constitution museum for the Lego Maritime Festival.

It starts Saturday and runs through the 26th, from 10 a.m. to 5p.m.

Admission is free with a donation. You can build your own ship using LEGO or DUPLO, and you can enter your original design into the annual ship shape competition. Official rules can be found here.

Tapping Maple Trees:

Are you a fan of all things maple? How about tapping a sugar maple tree?

You can get a first-hand look at the process at Gore Place Mansion in Waltham this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

You’ll even get a tasty sample of a maple treat. Reservations are required. Head to the website here for more info.

Fruitland Fairy Forest

If you’re in the mood for a hike, head over to the Town of Harvard to the Fruitland Fairy Forest.

You can explore this area at your own pace and spot the fairy, gnome, and elf houses along the way.

Your entrance also includes admission to the art gallery, and if you want to add to the experience, or skip the hike altogether, you can rent a private fire pit for up to six people at the Fruitland Museum for an extra charge.

Pricing can be found on the trustees website.

Whatever you do this weekend, have fun and be safe.
