2 people seriously injured after Wareham Fire truck and sedan collide

WAREHAM, Mass. — Two people were rushed to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries after Wareham Fire truck collided with a black sedan on Wednesday night, Boston 25 News has learned.

The crash victims were not firefighters.

The head-on crash occurred around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday on the Route 28 overpass to Route 195.

The fire truck and a black sedan with severe front-end damage could be seen as investigators and emergency personnel responded to the scene.

Authorities closed off Route 28 following the crash.
