Liverpool FC set for U.S. tour, to play Sevilla at Fenway in July

BOSTON — Liverpool Football Club will return to Fenway Park in the summer of 2019 as part of its pre-season tune up schedule for the 2019/20 Premier League season.

The Reds, who are leading the Barclay's Premier League, will visit Yankee Stadium, Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend, Indiana, and Fenway Park in a three match swing through the United States.

The last time Liverpool FC, owned by Fenway Sports Management, played at Fenway Park was in 2012 against AS Roma during the pre-season.

“We’re heading to three incredible locations this year. Each of the stadiums has their own deep-rooted heritage similar to our own and we’ll face three great opposition teams in Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla and Sporting CP," managing director and chief commercial officer, Billy Hogan, said. "This trip to the USA will be very special and we’re really looking forward to having as many of our supporters with us along the way.”
