Leominster man dies in car crash on 495 North in Littleton

A St. Louis police officer is accused of driving a van too roughly to punish two prisoners, court documents claim.

LITTLETON, Mass. — A 46-year-old man from Leominster was killed in a single-car crash on Saturday morning in Littleton, according to Mass. State Police.

The victim was driving on I-495 North in Littleton when his 2015 Honda CRV veered off the roadway and into the treeline, where he crashed. The Littleton Fire Department was able to extract the victim from the car after he became trapped in the vehicle.

Emergency responders transported the man to Nashoba Valley Medical Center in Ayer where he was pronounced dead.

Police identified the victim as 46-year-old Joseph Sullivan of Leominster.

The crash remains under investigation by State Police and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
