LAWRENCE, Mass. - A woman is sending a warning to the Lawrence community after she says a large rock was thrown off an overpass onto her windshield late Tuesday night.

Andrea Esteves was driving through an underpass when all of a sudden, she says a rock slammed through her window. She believes it was intentionally thrown from someone sitting at the top of this bridge about 15-feet in the air.

"They did it intentionally with force, this was malicious, and my heart was pounding and then I drove home 20 miles an hour, I was shaking, I was visibly shaking," said Esteves. "I got chards of glass from the seats, I have glass on my seat. That’s how much it flew when it hit…"

She says she believes someone was standing behind the enclosed railroad bridge on Andover Street and threw the boulder on purpose.

"They must have been standing right over me and slammed it, cause it came straight down," she said.

Esteves says she dialed 911 and reported the incident.

Lawrence Police did not return our calls Wednesday evening and now Esteves is hoping to alert neighbors of what she says happened so no one else gets hurt.

"I want the neighborhood to know what’s going on so somebody doesn’t get killed, I don’t even care about the car… I don’t want somebody getting killed," she said.
