LAWRENCE, Mass. — Police in Lawrence have arrested a man they say killed a young homeless woman.
Giovanni Lebron, 24, of Lawrence, was arrested on Wednesday night and charged with murder.
On Tuesday, at around 12:50 p.m., authorities found the body of a 24-year-old homeless woman in the Spicket River. Her name is being withheld pending notification of the family.
Investigators later determined she had been a victim of homicide.
Lebron is scheduled to be arraigned sometime on Thursday in Lawrence District Court.
