Morning commuters should brace for the impact of another lane closure on the Tobin Bridge Tuesday as ongoing repair work continues.
MassDOT has closed one of three southbound lanes on Route 1 in Chelsea overnight, extending to the Tobin Bridge. Northbound closures are already in place. MassDOT says at least one lane in each direction will be closed daily, with a second lane closed at times overnight.

To help ease some of the congestion, MassDOT is opening up the carpool lane on the Zakim Bridge to all traffic. While the opening is temporary, the construction on the Tobin won't wrap up until 2020.

For Route 111, you can take @MBTA_CR between Chelsea and N. Station (with Green/Orange line connections). We’ll accept CharlieCards for travel between these stations.
