• Juvenile in custody after teen shot, pushed out of SUV in Methuen


    METHUEN, Mass. - A 17-year-old is in custody after a teen was shot and pushed out of an SUV in Methuen Sunday afternoon.

    The incident occurred around 12:30 Sunday afternoon on Davis Road. The teen, identified by police as a Methuen High School student, had emergency surgery at Lawrence General Hospital and was flown to Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. 

    Police told Boston 25 News that the teen was shot in the shoulder.

    On Wednesday, police announced a 17-year-old male has been arrested for the shooting. 

    The juvenile from Haverhill is expected to be charged with assault and battery serious bodily injury, armed assault with intent to rob, carrying a loaded firearm, and possession of a firearms without a license. 

    Officials say more charges are expected.
