IPSWICH, Mass. — Ipswich Police announced shortly after noon on Friday the man who had been missing in the Crane Estate area has been found safe in Beverly.
The man, a 35-year-old resident of Beverly, was found safe at his home.
Police said the man went missing from a group walking along the property. He had last been seen at 4:30 a.m.
His friends searched for him before calling police.
The Ipswich Police Department is currently searching for a lost person on the Crane Estate and beach area. There is no threat to public safety. There will be a heavy police presence and helicopters flying above. Please avoid the area to allow us to conduct our search.

Police determined the man had walked from Ipswich to his home in Beverly.

Police used all-terrain vehicles, boats and helicopters in their search.
