IMAGES: Police, fire, EMS train with 'active shooter' drill at Lawrence High School

LAWRENCE, Mass. — There were alarming scenes in a Lawrence high school Tuesday, but they were just part of a drill.

First responders from several communities took part in active shooter training at Lawrence High School.

Students also took part in the drill as ‘victims.’

Officers practiced searching the building and removing injured victims from the scene.

Police told us they hope to never have to use the skills in real life, but it's important to be prepared.
