BOSTON — A 26-year-old man is dead after crashing hit motorcycle along the Mass. Pike early on Wednesday morning.
The ramp to the exit 18 on the Mass. Pike in Allston was reopened after it was temporarily closed to traffic after the crash happened at around 3:20 a.m.
MassDOT said the crash happened on the eastbound side of Interstate 90, at the exit 18 off-ramp. According to police, the driver hit the right side curb and was thrown from the motorcycle.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The off-ramp was closed for about two hours as police investigated.

Police are withholding identifying the driver until they notify the family.
