WAREHAM, Mass. — An investigation has been launched after a hunter was shot in the shoulder on Wednesday afternoon.
According to Wareham Police, the hunter, identified only as a man at this point, suffered a gunshot injury to the shoulder. It is unclear how serious the injury is.
The incident happened at around 2:30 p.m. in the woods behind Charlotte Furnace Road in Wareham.

Police say it seems like this was an accident but didn't know if it was self-inflicted or of the victim was shot by someone else.
The investigation will now be handled by the Massachusetts Environmental Police.
