BOSTON — MBTA Transit Police have arrested a Lynn man after he evaded fare.
At 6:40 p.m. Monday, Transit Police say a man at Andrew Square Station skipped out on paying fare by "piggybacking" in behind a paying customer.
When police approached the man to issue him a citation, they discovered several outstanding warrants for him. The man, identified as 51-year-old Michael Marino of Lynn, had warrants out of Falmouth District Court for larceny of a motor vehicle, destruction of property over 1,200, numerous motor vehicle violations, being a fugitive from justice and assault with a dangerous weapon.
Marino was arrested and taken to Transit Police HQ.
