First Lady Dr. Jill Biden asks Boston 25 viewers to commit to acts of kindness for a military family

WASHINGTON — This week, Boston 25 News anchor Kerry Kavanaugh gave an exclusive look inside the White House at Christmas. While there, she spoke one-on-one with the First Lady. Tonight, we are sharing a special request from Dr. Jill Biden

This season, one of the East Wing displays is the ‘Gold Star’ Tree. It contains the names of military service members who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. Kerry asked the First Lady about the symbolism of all the names on that tree. She asked we honor their families in a special way.

“We always want to honor our military families because they are so resilient. And I’d like to ask your viewers if they would commit to an act of kindness for a military family,” Dr. Biden said.

“We can’t forget about what they are doing and what they continue to do.”

In honor of the First Lady’s request, we want to know what Boston 25 News viewers are doing to show kindness to military families.

You can upload and share your photos and videos that tell the story here. Please include your names and where you’re from, and you may see your act of kindness shared right here on Boston 25 News.
