Fenway Park celebrates 105 years

BOSTON — A lot of things have changed in our city since Fenway Park opened on this day in 1912, but our love for the Red Sox hasn’t.

Fenway Park hosted its first game on April 9, 1912, which was an exhibition between the Red Sox and Harvard College, according to the Boston Red Sox.

Eleven days later on April 20, 1912, the Red Sox played their first official gam at Fenway Park against the New York Highlanders.

The Red Sox went on to win 105 regular season games, the American League Pennant and the World Series.
