WHITMAN, Mass. - A Whitman school is closed Friday due to a high number of students with a stomach virus.
The Conley School will be shut down for the day so the building can be deep cleaned and disinfected.
Superintendent Jeffery Szymaniak said in email that over the last two days there have been multiple cases of students suffering from a stomach condition.
"Due to extensive cases of a stomach virus, the School District has closed Conley School today, Friday March 15th and will be conducting deep cleaning in the building," the fire department said in a Facebook post Friday morning. "Additionally the Middle School was cleaned overnight in the areas affected and the remainder of our Schools will be cleaned this weekend as a precaution."
